Amata LLC Citygate Center Wins officebroker.com Award for July

Amata LLC's CityGate Center in Naperville, Illinois, has won officebroker.com's Business Center of the Month award for July 2010.

The CityGate Center, which is the newest addition to executive suite provider Amata LLC, is located within a LEED Certified Silver building in an acclaimed business park, just west of Chicago.

Amata currently have four other business centers in Chicago offering flexible office space, and this latest addition has a superb offering for its clients which ultimately secured it as officebroker.com's latest Business Center of the Month.

Amata's Naperville-based center impressed Andy Haywood, officebroker.com's President and award judge, by showing dedication to clients through their steadfast willingness to help, which comes in many different forms.

"One of the things that stood out to me most about Amata is that they are constantly giving," commented Andy. "They are a very charity-focused organisation, and have loads going on to help people who are in a less fortunate situation.

"To highlight a few examples, they put a Salvation Army giving tree in each center at Christmas, and put bins in every center to collect shoes for African children. They have also helped out with the charity of a Bears NFL player, who is one of their clients."

Andy also commented on the support that Amata offered to a number of clients during the economic downturn.

"They supported a couple of their clients during the economic crisis when they were struggling to pay their rent. This extra flexibility and support helped those businesses get back on their feet."

Another major highlight for Andy was the LEED Certified Silver building that the CityGate center is located in.

"We are always looking for ways to raise the profile of the executive suite industry, and providing green office space is an ideal way of doing this," he said.

"The Citygate building is a really stylish 'green' center, and it's extremely modern - with slanted glass windows, state-of-the-art technology, and excellent views. Their green credentials are massive - they even have their own vegetable garden that is tended by the building management."

As an entrepreneur himself, Andy - who founded officebroker.com back in 2001 alongside business partner Jim Venables - is keen to highlight centers that foster business growth through support services and enterprise schemes.

Amata have several business networking opportunities that encourages clients to work together and raises awareness of their products or services. As part of these events, Amata also sponsor a 'happy hour' where they pay for drinks once a quarter, and hold formal dinners for tenants and their clients in the center’s conference rooms.

Andy was also impressed by the highly client-focused nature of the center. For example, the staff carry out reviews two to three months after new clients have first moved in, which provides the team with feedback about areas that can be improved on.

Additionally, both as a bit of fun and again to encourage networking between clients, Amata do a bracket pool for March Madness where they show televised basketball games on the lobby and conference room TVs, and order pizza for clients that watch the games. They have a softball team that their clients can join, and they also have major league baseball season tickets for the Cubs, which their clients can use on a first come first served basis.

Another major point that caught Andy's attention was the LEED Certified Silver building that the CityGate center is located in.

"The property industry is facing a huge crackdown on energy emissions and it is great to see that Amata are tackling this head on," he commented. "We are always looking for ways to raise the profile of the executive suite industry, and providing green office space that has been LEED certified is an ideal way of doing this."
