Dan Murphy Steps Across the Pond to Join US Team

Dan Murphy leaves the UK to join the US officebroker.com team in Dallas

officebroker.com is pleased to welcome Dan Murphy to the US team as the new VP of Sales.

Previously the Sales Manager for officebroker.com in the UK, Dan's length and breadth of experience means he certainly has what it takes to help the US team develop their skills and build on their current success rate.

"I've been working for officebroker.com for 5 years," says Dan. "I started my career on the phones as a consultant, progressed to team leader and then became UK Sales Manager 3 years ago."

During that time, the UK business grew to become the market leader for serviced office space, and officebroker.com now works closely with over 95% of all serviced office providers in the country.

Dan will now transfer his long-term experience and skills gained in the UK over to the US, where the company has been operating from its base in Dallas since 2006.

"My role is to replicate the success officebroker.com has had in the UK in the US," he says, "as well as to develop and build on existing relationships with key providers here in the States."

President and co-founder of officebroker.com Andy Haywood is keen to bring Dan's experience on board.

"Dan has always been a valuable part of our team back in the UK," says Andy, "and has been hugely instrumental in the growth and success of officebroker.com.

"Since Dan joined the team here in Dallas he's made an impressive start, by turning in a record amount of revenue in his first month. I'm looking forward to seeing how he can build on our current achievements, and develop our team further to bring out the best of their potential."

"Due to recent growth we've also expanded the team and now have a number of new consultants on board, so he'll certainly have his hands full. Keep up the good work Dan!"

To help settle into his new role, Dan has the advantage of already being a familiar face around the office in Dallas - despite only joining the US ranks in October.

"I spent 3 months towards the end of 2008 working with the US team here in Dallas," says Dan. "It was then that I realised the opportunity is there for officebroker.com to secure its place as the market leader in the US.

"It's also a great opportunity to work with the office providers on developing and growing their businesses, as well as the serviced office markets here in the States."

Commenting on his new team, he says:

"We have a very dynamic and driven team here at our offices in Dallas. They are great to work with and are very passionate about what officebroker.com are looking to achieve.

"It's also great being able to pass on the knowledge and experience I've gained working in the UK industry to my team, as well as the office providers, here in the States. Plus the weather is much better!"

Working responsibilities aside, Dan is also looking forward to immersing himself in the US culture.

"I travelled extensively when I was younger and spent a lot of time in the Americas. It's always been an ambition of mine to live in the US and experience the American way of life."

Finally he adds: "I'm really enjoying it. And did I mention the weather is also much better?"
