The Empire State Building - Manhattan NY... Holding the title of the world's tallest building for over 30 years, the Empire State Building is one of the USA's - and the world's - most recognisable landmarks.

Towering above the New York City skyline at 443.2 metres, the building - which was completed in 1931 - derived its nickname from the state of New York, The Empire State, and was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
