Manhattan received some good news recently when the Q2 report showed their office space continues to show signs of recovery. Colliers International’s report showed that, with a little help from submarkets, Manhattan’s second quarter showed 3.4 million square feet of positive absorption.

Construction projects halted two years ago in Downtown Chicago are set to resume with developers aiming to secure potential tenants for new office buildings. According to an article in the chicagotribune.com “getting a building started would be a signal that the economy was moving forward, important financial and psychological signposts in a city where the unemployment rate hovers at about 9 percent.”
