From September 23rd through September 25th, officebroker.com's founders Andy Haywood and Jim Venables and Vice President Billy Knauss had the rare chance to meet with a variety of key US providers in person, and took the opportunity to gain constructive feedback and discuss methods of best practice.
With the economic downturn still a key factor in the survival and growth of many businesses within the US office space industry, finding new ways to reinvent global relationships is more important than ever. Therefore officebroker.com was keen to hear first-hand from providers how their level of service can be improved.
Jim Venables, one half of the officebroker.com partnership, says:
"Being here gives us a rare opportunity to meet face to face with our US providers. Bringing all the providers from across America together in one spot puts us in a great position to learn how we can all do better business, both together and individually."
This is the third year that officebroker.com have attended the OBCAI convention, starting with Chicago's convention in 2007 and last year's event in Orlando, Florida. Each time officebroker.com have found the conferences worthwhile and constructive, coming away with stronger relationships and valuable feedback from providers.
Andy Haywood, President of officebroker.com in the US, says:
"We met with many key office providers during the event. We were keen to find out what they thought of our service, and any suggestions or criticisms they could discuss with us. We were very happy to receive favourable and complimentary comments from everyone we spoke to, as well as some constructive feedback and pointers which we have taken away with us."
He adds: "We're proud of the service we provide but we know that as a business, there’s always potential for improvement. That's why this event is so important to us, and the office space industry as a whole - it puts you in touch with the people that really matter, and gives you the chance to find out first-hand what you can do to make your service better for all concerned."
Among the business center providers that officebroker.com met were Eemerge, Corporate Office Centers, Perryville ES, Officelinks, Barrister, and Pacific Business Centers.
Aside from the popular opening reception which also served as an important networking event, officebroker.com added to the festivities by hosting an impromptu VIP evening at the Hard Rock Cafe in San Diego’s Gas Lamp District, for OBCAI members and guests of the convention.
Since opening their US office in Dallas in 2006, UK-based officebroker.com have gone from strength to strength and made a fast name for themselves within the US industry.
